Overview
Bandha
Bandas, or muscular locks, are used together with breath control. This lock and breath are meant to isolate or flow energy through the body. The conception of Bandha has been likened to the ‘damning of a river’ and refers to physical and energetic locks engaged utilized in order to preserve, contain and distribute the flow of energy among the body.
We have three Bandas in our bodies( principles of hand):
Mula Bandha– related to the basis chakra and also the lower body. Acquiring the region muscles locks your Mula Bandha.
Uddiyana Bandha– related to the center chakras and also pull abdominal muscles towards the spine locks the Uddiyana Bandha.
Jalandhara Bandha– related to the throat chakra and also the head, neck, and chest. Acquiring the neck and throat, whereas pulling the chin in towards the chest, and syncing with the suprasternal notch locks the Jalandhara Bandha.
Mudra
Symbolic hand gestures or an active seal related to a mantra accustomed contain and manipulate refined energy. Sanskrit meaning of Mudra is Linking self with Universal Consciousness. Also, Mud= delight or pleasure, Dru= draw forth. It’s the physical representation of a mantra. A range of ‘Hasta Mudra’ originate from Tantra and were historically accustomed invoke an array of Deities and celestial beings. every finger represents a body of energy, a planet, a chakra, a characteristic and a feeling. It is used together with Bandas and Pranayama, Mudras.
